YOUR PART IN THE BODY OF CHRIST
We The Church Survey
We know that every man, woman, and child is unique and has a special story of what God is doing in their life. We want to understand better where every person is coming from as we try to lead this church and serve this city faithfully. We want to see how we, the Church, are growing in our relationship with Jesus, living in community with one another, and how we are living on mission together.
Some of these questions might seem a bit straightforward, but they also paint a picture for us about the people we’ve been entrusted to shepherd and lead. We would be so grateful if you could take the time to fill these out. While straightforward, they really do help us so much.
Jesus has chosen to make Himself visible in this world through His people. The Church is not a building or a program — we are His hands and feet, His voice and heart in the world today.
In this sermon series, We the Church, we’ll explore how Jesus envisioned His people to live in the world and how we can fulfill that vision together. Every follower of Jesus has been filled with His Spirit, called to His mission, and sent so that others might encounter Jesus through us.
Join us for this new series beginning Sunday, September 7th — and discover your part in the body of Christ.

Bible Reading Plan
Week 4: “Mission in Everyday Life”
Day 16: Colossians 3:17
Devotional: Paul doesn’t say, “Do some things for Jesus.” He says, “Do everything in His name.” That includes commutes, emails, dinner-making, and conversations with your neighbor. Mission isn’t just something you do “out there”—it’s how you live everywhere.
Reflect:
What are some ordinary activities where you can live on mission?
How can you approach daily life as worship?
Action: Choose one mundane task today and intentionally do it for God’s glory.
Day 17: 1 Thessalonians 2:8
Devotional: Paul didn’t just share the gospel—he shared his life. People don’t want just a message; they want you.Mission means being present, vulnerable, and real. That’s what changes hearts.
Reflect:
Who in your life needs more of your time and presence?
How can you share both the gospel and your life with someone this week?
Action: Spend time with someone today—no agenda, just presence.
Day 18: Matthew 25:31–46
Devotional: Jesus equates caring for the "least of these" with serving Him. Mission doesn’t always look glamorous—it often looks like noticing the unnoticed, feeding the hungry, or visiting the lonely. When you serve the hurting, you touch the heart of God.
Reflect:
Who around you might be hungry, lonely, or in need?
What does this passage teach you about the heart of Jesus?
Action: Do one small act of compassion today for someone in need.
Day 19: Proverbs 3:27–28
Devotional: Don’t wait until “someday” to do good. If it's in your power to help someone now, do it. Mission isn’t about grand gestures—it’s about timely obedience. Someone’s breakthrough might be on the other side of your willingness.
Reflect:
What good have you been delaying?
What does “not withholding good” look like practically today?
Action: Follow through on something you’ve been putting off—bless someone now.
Day 20: Philippians 2:1–11
Devotional: Jesus had every right to remain comfortable—but He humbled Himself to serve. The mission of God calls us to lay down status, ego, and comfort for the sake of others. Humility is your greatest platform.
Reflect:
Where is God calling you to step down in order to serve others?
How can Jesus’ example shape your mindset in your home, workplace, or community?
Action: Choose to serve in a way that costs you today.
