Bible Story: God Called Jeremiah

  • God chose Jeremiah as His messenger.

  • Jeremiah was afraid but God promised to be with him.

  • God wanted Jeremiah to tell the people He was going to punish their sin and then make them strong again.

  • God gave Jeremiah two visions.

  • Who can be a part of God’s plans?

  • When did God first plan to send Jesus?

  • What might be God’s plan for you?

    Family Activity: Go through an old photo album and show your kids pictures of when you were a child. Talk to them about the ways God has worked in your life and the ways you have seen Him working in your children’s lives.

Elementary:

  • Jeremiah’s second vision meant that kings from the north would come attack Judah.

  • What might be God’s plan for you?

  • What excuse did Jeremiah have for doubting God’s call?

  • When did God choose Jeremiah to be a prophet?

  • How can we know what God wants us to do?
