It’s hard to believe that the year is more than half over! I wanted to send you a quick note updating you on all that has taken place in the life of Renew Communities over these first six months of 2016 and let you in on a little of what we’ve got planned for the last half of this year.

Here are a few highlights from the first half of 2016:

+ In March we baptized 9 people who decided to go public with their faith and celebrate what God has done in saving and renewing them! You can find their stories on our website (which by the way was redesigned along with a new logo earlier this year as well!).

+ We launched a 7th Missional Community focused on serving Safe Families – a new non-profit to help families in difficult circumstances by practicing biblical hospitality to keep children out of the foster care system while parents and guardians deal with issues affecting their family.

+ We’re seeing tremendous growth in our Worship Gatherings. In the first half of 2016 we averaged 258 people attending up 30% from the 197 average in the first half of 2015. Our internal giving has grown as well by 18% from what was given in the first half of 2015.

+ We launched Renew Women & Renew Bro-Downs to bring people together for first connections to community and encourage each other to be the women and men that God has called us to be. In our first events we had over 70 women and 50 men gather for fun and fellowship.

+ In March we celebrated our 5th Anniversary and announced our Building TheNext5 campaign. We have signed a lease on a 9,500 square foot facility in Berea that will serve as our permanent home and give us an opportunity to start an art gallery and co-work space as well.  We will begin construction later this month and hope to be in this October.

We’re currently working to raise $205,000 to cover the renovation costs associated with our new facility. We currently have over $160,000 in commitments but could use your prayers and help if you haven’t had a chance to partner already and feel led to do so. You can find more information on
